Best Patios in Chicago
Summertime Chi is here and we’ve rounded up the top outdoor destinations for patio dining and imbibing.
Pippin’s Tavern – 39 E. Chicago Ave
Known for carrying the legacy of good beer and good cheer since 1974, Pippin’s Tavern, 39 E. Chicago, is thrilled to welcome customers on its new patio. The 40-seat, pet-friendly patio is located on Wabash Ave., steps away from Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. Combining comfort and style, the patio boasts an abundance of lush greenery, providing a serene oasis amidst the bustling cityscape. Guests can indulge in Happy Hour every Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm featuring $1.50 Oysters, $6 Charcuterie Cones, $6 Draft Beer, $6 House Wine, and $15 White Wine Carafes. Pippin‘s Tavern also offers Weekend Brunch from 11am to 3pm featuring $30 Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys.
River Shannon – 425 W. Armitage
Established in 1946 and located in the heart of Lincoln Park, River Shannon is a pet-friendly Irish Pub with an outdoor patio, pouring Irish whiskeys and local beer for over 70 years. And aside from the patio, cold beer, and friendly atmosphere, the best part of River Shannon is the dogs that come through the door. One of the oldest pubs in Chicago, guests are invited to enjoy Happy Hour on the patio (or indoors!) Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm.
Streeter’s Tavern – 50 E. Chicago Ave
After a day of shopping on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, there’s no better place to toss back a few cold ones than Streeter’s Tavern, the best underground bar in the city featuring a sprawling outdoor patio. And for those who don’t want to watch the hustle and bustle of the city, guests can descend into the bar and find games like pool, pong, giant Jenga, foosball, and darts.
